RONAN – Counselors are on hand at the Charlo School District after the death of a student over the weekend.

Adriana Johnson, 17, was a junior at Charlo Schools and has been identified as the person who was killed in the crash near Ronan on Saturday morning.

School officials have brought in a licensed therapeutic counselor to help any students through this time. She will be available Wednesday and Thursday.

The school district said Johnson will be missed dearly and that their thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Johnson was in a Jeep Wrangler that was struck by a Lake County sheriff’s cruiser while responding to a call in St. Ignatius. The Jeep made an unexpected U-Turn along Highway 93 and was T-boned by the deputy’s vehicle.

Another passenger in the Jeep is in stable condition. The deputy received minor injuries.
