GREAT FALLS – United Way of Cascade County hosted its annual “Stuff The Bus” on Thursday in Great Falls.

Items collected range from towels, toothpaste, and grocery cards, to binders, safety scissors, and earbud headphones.

Collected supplies will be distributed to organizations in Cascade County, including Big Brothers, Big Sisters, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Cascade County and Great Falls Public Schools.

It’s estimated that half of the supplies collected will come from individuals, and the other half will come from businesses. Two examples are Scheels, which donated 80 backpacks, and D.A. Davidson, which donated $2,000.

Kim Skornogoski said, “Between all of the non-profits and getting supplies out to Great Falls Public Schools we’re able to make sure that every kid can start school with the supplies that they need to succeed.”

People can drop off items through 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

If you were not able to make it out to the event, you can always donate money and United Way will go out and use the money to shop for what they are still in need for.

If you are somebody who needs supplies, you can call Opportunities Inc.

Last year, Great Falls givers stuffed two school buses with 12,948 much-needed items.
