HELENA – A 46 year-old Boulder man has been charged with felony sexual assault.
Laurence Eric Short appeared in Lewis and Clark County Justice Court Monday morning.
According to court documents, a girl under the age of 14 was with Short on or around May 25th.
The girl told investigators she was with Short to help him search for a campsite.
She told police that as they were sitting in his truck, she leaned in to heat what he was trying to say and he kissed her, putting his tongue in her mouth.
A conviction of felony sexual assault carries a minimum of four years in prison.
Short was released on his own recognizance.
