GREAT FALLS – Airmen from Malmstrom Air Force Base now have more options when it comes to dining out.

The Malmstrom Elkhorn Dining Facility officially opened its doors Thursday morning after two years of being remodeled.

The facility was renovated to fall in line with the Food 2.0 Food Transformation Initiative, a program that was designed to improve serving systems.

341st Force Support Squadron Senior Airman Andrew Scoville said airmen can now choose from food like pizza, subs, salad, and a restaurant rotation that will change every two months.

“For being shut down for two years and not having this mission or capability, it is great to see everyone supporting us and wanting this to happen. Leadership was pushing for it. All the hard work that everyone put into it: the civilians, the contractors, and the airman. To see it all come together for this grand opening, it’s just amazing,” Scoville said.

Airmen can enjoy the new facility seven days a week from 6 a.m to 6:30 p.m.
