GREAT FALLS – Calumet Montana Refining will be undergoing planned unit shutdown and maintenance activities at the refinery starting on Monday, September 3.
A press release from Calumet says the activities are expected to last approximately one month.
During this time there will be periods of increased flaring due to shutdown and startup activities.
There will also be increased traffic to and from the refinery as contractors will be performing work around the clock.
Calumet says that the flaring activities do not pose any threat to human health, safety, or the environment.
