THREE FORKS – Volunteers were standing on the picket line Monday at the Imerys Talc Plant so the workers that have been protesting for 33 days could take a holiday.

The community has been making efforts to support workers, especially on Labor Day. Those volunteering at the picket line believe in standing together.

“This dispute was delivered to us. It’s local, it’s a community issue. It divides the community, the county, the state and the nation. If we don’t stand with each other, who’s going to be the last one standing?” said Gallatin County Democrats Chair Elizabeth Marum.

Jon Tester and Kathleen Williams also joined the picket line Monday evening to support the workers.
