JEFFERSON CITY – The Montana Department of Transportation announced on Friday. Sep. 14 that traffic has been fully restored to two lanes in both direction on Interstate 15 by Jefferson City.

The section of Interstate was forced closed in May of this year when heavy spring rain combined with snowmelt washed out the large culvert structure that carried Prickly Pear Creek underneath I-15.

Partial traffic was reopened on May 20 with reduced speeds and only one lane north and southbound traffic was available.

Bullock Contracting of Boulder won the contract to replace the culvert with a bid of $1,000,638.92 and construction for the project began the week of July 23.
