UPDATE 7:22 AM THURSDAY:
Crews successfully extinguished the fire in the overnight hours. The fire burned about two acres. An investigation is ongoing into the cause of the fire.
HELENA – Firefighters are on scene of a one-and-a-half acre wildland fire near Dearborn.
The “Sugarloaf Fire” is on Sugarloaf Mountain Lane, about six miles from I-15.
According to Roy Stock with the Dearborn Volunteer Fire Department, they received reports of smoke around 8 p.m. Wednesday night.
There are currently seven firefighters at the scene, and more are coming.
Right now, the cause of the fire is unknown.
