GREAT FALLS – James Joseph Sangrey, Jr. has been arrested in Great Falls.

The Great Falls Police Department said on Thursday morning that Sangrey was taken into custody at about 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

The GFPD said in a Facebook post: “Sangrey was observed in the passenger seat of a vehicle. With the help of a Fugitive Recovery Agent, and after a short foot pursuit, we took James “JJ” Sangrey into custody. The driver was also arrested. Thank you to everyone who provided tips, as usual, this arrest was a community effort.”

The U.S. Marshals Service issued an alert on Tuesday to advise people to be on the look-out for Sangrey, stating that he was wanted on $600,000 in warrants for bail-jumping, violation of bail conditions, and failing to abide by terms of conditional release. He has been involved in several criminal incidents in Great Falls in recent months. According to the alert, Sangrey was considered armed and dangerous.

Brandi Nicole Young was charged earlier this week with obstructing justice after she allegedly lied to police officers about knowing where Sangrey, Jr. was several days ago.
