MISSOULA – Beer enthusiasts of all kinds gathered for the 10th annual Montana Brewers Fall Rendezvous over the weekend in Missoula as several dozen local craft brewers from large and small companies presented their finest.
Judges from the local homebrewers association tasted and judged the best beers, and also hosted classes to show how different beers are made.
But you didn’t have to be a judge or an expert to enjoy the event — you just needed to pay $25 for a glass and a wristband and you could pour to your heart’s content.
Montana Brewers Association executive director Matt Leow says that Missoula is the best place to celebrate local brewing.
“Missoula, this is where the modern Montana craft brewing scene really got going. Breweries like Big Sky and Bayern and Kettlehouse — and so it really is the birthplace of Montana’s craft brew scene,” Leow said.
“We come back here every year for annual conference and Missoulians love craft beer, really support Montana group and they come out in big numbers for this event every year,” he added.
The annual event was held in Caras Park.
