MISSOULA – Hundreds of students and parents packed into the Dennison Theater on the University of Montana campus for the All-State Music Festival Performance of 2018 on Friday.
Talented high school students from all across Montana in the band, choir and orchestra practiced a lot over the last two days to prepare for the performance.
Students had to audition to be a part of the two-day festival. They were trained and conducted by visiting professionals from out of state and were helped by students from the college for visual and performing arts.
The dean of the college said this performance is to congratulate these students for all that they have achieved throughout this process.
“The Montana all-state music festival celebrates our students are wonderful music teachers all around the state who support our students and of course the parents,” said UM College of Visual and Performing Arts Dean Stephen Kalm.
