HELENA – Demolition of Helena’s former Capital Hill Mall won’t take place until sometime early next year.

Previously, representatives of the new owner, Dick Anderson Construction, had planned to begin demolition this fall with plans to have it completely razed by the spring.

Mark Esponda with Dick Anderson Construction says the final tenant, Lucky Lil’s Casino, has a lease until mid-February of 2019.

He says they will not move forward with demolition until that lease is complete.

Dick Anderson Construction secured the demolition permit from the city back in August.
