(NBC News) NBC News is reporting that a man has been in arrested in connection with a series of mail bombs sent to prominent Democrats this week.
Few details are known at this time, Department of Justice officials are expected to release more information at an afternoon press conference.
Friday morning two more pipe bomb packages addressed to prominent critics of President Trump had been discovered, one in New York addressed to former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and another in Florida, addressed to Democratic Senator Cory Booker.
The latest discoveries bring the total number of bombs intercepted to 12.
The devices are being pulled apart by the FBI in a search for clues.
Postmarks on the packages led investigators to a postal facility in southern Florida.
