Sanders County Drug Bust

THOMPSON FALLS – A recent traffic stop in Northwest Montana led to the seizure of what appears to be meth.

Sanders County Sheriff Tom Rummel says that a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Friday that led to the drug bust.

Deputy Roy Scott stopped a vehicle on Montana Highway 28 and say indications that it might be transporting illegal drugs, according to Sheriff Rummel.

A further investigation revealed that there was methamphetamine and marijuana in the vehicle.

The driver, whose name has not been released, was arrested and is being held in the Sanders County Detention Facility.

Sheriff Rummel expressed his appreciation and support for Deputy Scott adding that “approximately One Hundred and Seven (107) individual doses” of meth were seized.
