GREAT FALLS – Brett B. Matkovich faces seven felony counts of assault on a minor after allegedly beating and abusing several minors under the age of 13.

According to court documents, investigators with the Great Falls Police Department conducted interviews with seven minors in June and July of 2018.

The minors told investigators about numerous incidents when Matkovich, 36, abused them.

The abuse included stomping, punching, and kicking the minors, holding a hand over one victim’s mouth so that “she could not breathe,” and throwing one minor down the stairs.

One minor told investigators that Matkovich “left marks ‘plenty of times’ due to the spankings.”

Matkovich has pending charges for sexual intercourse without consent, aggravated assault, and partner/family member assault, and two pending charges for kidnapping.

He is also pending a revocation of suspended sentence in which he was convicted of the offense of criminal endangerment.
