Prosecutors move to dismiss charges against Craig Williams

UPDATE 06/25/2019: Prosecutors have filed paperwork to drop the charges against Craig Williams.

According to the filing, dated June 6th, the motion is to dismiss the charges without prejudice.


HELENA – A 55-year-old Helena man is accused of three felonies.

Craig Williams has been charged with sexual intercourse without consent, aggravated assault, and strangulation.

Court records say police deputies were dispatched to the 3700 block of Beechnut Street on September 5th to investigate a reported domestic disturbance.

Deputies say during a follow-up interview with the woman; she reported an earlier assault where Williams is alleged to have slammed her up against a wall and sexually assaulted her.

The woman suffered a broken rib.

Bond was set at $50,000.
