MISSOULA – The holiday season is well underway, and the first official day of winter is in less than a month.
Thanks to some of the first big snowfall in Western Montana this week, ski season is finally here.
Opening day was this week for some resort areas. Bridger Bowl has their ski lifts up and running for the ski season and Discovery Ski Area is also open.
Lost Trail Ski Area announced on Monday that they are expecting to open on Thursday, Nov. 29.
Whitefish Mountain’s slopes are expected to open on Dec. 6 with Snowbowl in Missoula set to open on Dec. 7.
Blacktail has yet to announce their opening date, based on snow totals.
