Montana gas prices fall heading into 2019

BILLINGS – As we head into a new year, there’s been a sizeable fall in gas prices in Billings.

In the past week Billings, gas prices have fallen 9.8 percent per gallon.

The average cost for a gallon of gasoline is $2.36 according to the gas tracking website GasBuddy.com

This compares with the national average that has fallen 6.6 cents per gallon to $2.25 per gallon versus last week.

if you head to the pump to fill up on Dec 31, you’ll find that the average price for a gallon of gas in Billings has ranged widely over the last five years:

Montana’s average across the state is down too 8.1 percent.

The average cost for a gallon of gas in the Treasure state is $2.41 compared to last week’s price of $2.49 a gallon.
