HELENA – An 18 year-old Helena man is accused of raping an underage girl in February of 2018.

Justice of the Peace, Michael Swingley, set Tazen Thomas Evans’ bond at $25,000.

Court documents say police were called to the hospital on February 11th of 2018 to investigate a reported sexual assault of a girl under the age 16.

During an forensic interview several days later, court records say the girl told police she and her younger brother were messaging Evans who wanted them to stay his house.

The girl told police that Evans gave them marijuana and that she and Evans then went to bed and that’s when the alleged rape occurred. If convicted, Evans faces a maximum of up to 100 years in prison.
