MISSOULA – The University of Montana experienced some flooding in their library this weekend and now the Lommasson Center is experiencing some flooding also.

While the flooding in Lommasson didn’t cause a complete closure of the building, it did disrupt some services in the basement of the building.

Flooding closes University of Montana library

Disability student services has been moved to Griz Central for the time being as restoration crews and contractors work to dry out Suite 154 after a frozen fire sprinkler head caused the leak.

Some other minor disruptions caused some relocations in the building but UM spokeswoman told MTN News that those are minor compared to the Library closure.

She says they are working tirelessly to reopen the library because its closure is so disruptive to students and staff alike.

UM officials say they hope to have the library opened by late Tuesday.
