BILLINGS- The Montana Highway Patrol arrested a man Wednesday morning who they say drove the wrong way on Billings West End, attacked a trooper, crashed a stolen car and fled on foot.
The man was pulled over at 5 a.m. for driving the wrong way on Shiloh Road, Trooper Calvin Jimmerson wrote on Twitter.
The man then fought the trooper, escaped, stole a vehicle, crashed it on Highway 312 on the way to Huntley and fled on foot, according to Jimmerson.
Officers from Billings Police Department, the Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Office and the highway patrol tracked the man through his footprints and arrested him, Jimmerson wrote.
No law enforcement were injured. The man was not immediately identified Wednesday.
