HELENA – 34 year-old Steven O’Mara is accused of soliciting nude pictures from an underage girl.
Court records say a someone close to the girl contacted police in December of 2016 and said O’Mara had reached out to the girl through social media, and asked for naked photographs.
Police searched O’Mara’s phone but say they only found a Messenger request, and no actual messages.
He was arrested and charged, but the charges were later dismissed.
Then in October of 2018, authorities received allegations that O’Mara sent naked pictures of himself to a different underage girl through Snapchat.
Court documents say the girls took screenshots of the images and provided them to detectives.
O’Mara is charged with two counts of sexual abuse of children and one count of tampering with witnesses or informants.
The judge set bond at $50,000.
