Severe driving conditions reported north of Great Falls

GREAT FALLS- The Montana Department of Transportation has issued several severe driving conditions alerts for stretches of Interstate 15 and other north-central Montana roadways.

As of 11:43 a.m. Friday, severe driving conditions were reported along I-15 at Ulm north to Brady. Highway 87 also has severe driving conditions in sections such as from Carter to Loma and the Cascade County/Chouteau County line to Fort Benton.

Severe driving conditions have been reported on Highway 80 15 miles south of Fort Benton to Square Butte.

Highway 2 also has severe driving conditions from Galata through Chester to Hingham.

Traffic is also reduced to one lane with poor visibility on Secondary Highway 215 or the Kevin Highway.

Several reports indicate reduced visibility and blowing and drifting snow blocking lanes.

Drivers are advised to proceed with caution.

There are currently no road closures in effect.
