MISSOULA – Dangerous avalanche conditions remain on Mount Jumbo.

Experts with theWest Central Montana Avalanche Center were up on the mountain Tuesday assessing the risk.

Officials say property owners on the base on Mount Jumbo from Missoula Avenue to Elm Street should stay out of their back yards and report any slides.

Experts say that the biggest threat to public safety is humans trespassing and triggering avalanches.

The mountain remains closed and residents should report violators immediately to 911.

City officials caution that avalanche conditions could worsen — or improve — with changing weather conditions. If conditions do not change, this advisory will remain the same.
