GREAT FALLS – A Great Falls woman has been sentenced in the stabbing death of Steven Fletcher.

Linda Christianson has been sentenced to 40 years in the Montana Woman’s State Prison for mitigated, deliberate homicide.

She was also sentenced to 10 years for tampering with evidence, running concurrent with the former charge.

Fletcher was found dead at his home on Lower River Road in March 2017.

Initial reports suggested suicide, but upon arrival, detectives found evidence that it was a homicide.

Detectives said that Christianson had told different stories of what happened to Fletcher.

During the hearing, Christianson said she wishes she could take back what happened.
