A Bozeman man is facing $50,000 bail after investigators notified local authorities that he was having cocaine delivered by mail to his apartment.

Juan A. Martinez, 37, was arrested on Tuesday, June 9, on a charge of criminal possession of dangerous drugs.

According to charging documents, on Monday, June 8, investigators from the Missouri River Drug Task Force were notified by the US Postal Inspector Office regarding a parcel being delivered to Martinez. The inspector’s office had served a search warrant on the parcel and found it contained approximately 267 grams of cocaine.

When the parcel was delivered to Martinez’s apartment, investigators made entry and took Martinez into custody.

A search of the man’s apartment reportedly found packaging material, a scale, and small spoons. Investigators also found more than $1,500.

Martinez will be seen again in court on July 2.
