HELENA — Carroll College announced new measures Monday expanding the college's response to the coronavirus health crisis.

According to an email from President John Cech, remote learning has been extended through May 7th, the end of the current term.

Dr. Cech wrote in a letter to students and faculty, said the administration had also determined that all summer courses will be delivered remotely or online.

Dr. Cech also announced Carroll was postponing its Spring Commencement ceremony for graduates. Carroll's next scheduled graduation ceremony will be on Saturday, December 12th.

Dr. Cech says the Carroll campus remains open and dining services will continue for students. Students who can and are able to travel home should contact Student Life to arrange a check out of their residence hall. The college says it is working with students one-on-one to determine the best course of action for each individual.

The college has also encouraged employees who can work remotely to do so, and supervisors will be working this week to identify who can work remotely based on essential duties and work capacity.
