Ravalli County reports 19 new COVID-19 cases

An additional 19 confirmed COVID-19 cases are being reported in the Bitterroot Valley.

Ravalli County Public Health reports they were notified of the new cases on Wednesday.

Ravalli County currently has 49 active cases of COVID-19.

"Ravalli County Public Health is currently receiving an influx in new cases which is overwhelming county resources," department spokesman Joseph Hopkins wrote in a Wednesday email.

Seven active cases are currently hospitalized.

The following new cases are currently being investigated by Ravalli County Public Health nurses:

  7. Male in his twenties

  17. Female in her teens
  18. Male

Stevensville Public Schools announced Wednesday that remote learning would begin Thursday following a confirmed COVID-19 case.

Hamilton High School also announced Wednesday that school would be closed Thursday due to reports of several COVID-19 cases.
