GREAT FALLS — Justin Lee Thumm has been charged after he allegedly threatened a person with a shotgun in Great Falls.

Court documents state that police officers responded to a residence on 2nd Avenue South on October 10th for a report of a man pointing a shotgun at the caller's head.

Officers made contact with the caller, identified in court documents as "John Doe."

Thumm told police that Doe and another person were causing a disturbance outside his apartment.

Thumm admitted opening the door with his shotgun, and racking the shotgun in view of Doe with the intent of scaring him.

Doe told police that Thumm came out of his apartment with the shotgun, pointed it at him, and stated "I'll blow your f***king head off" while pointing it directly at Doe.

A witness gave police a similar recounting of what happened.

Thumm has been charged with one felony county of assault with a weapon.
