Aaron Travis Ledford has been charged with shooting out several windows at Great Falls High School.

On Thursday afternoon, police received a report of a man - later identified as Ledford - driving a vehicle and hanging a gun out of the window. Ledford was detained and admitted having a BB gun near the driver-side seat.

The shooting of the windows happened on Tuesday evening. Ledford's vehicle (a green Dodge Durango) was seen on surveillance cameras at about 6:55 p.m. driving away from Great Falls High School, where several windows were shot and destroyed with a BB gun.

Court document say that after being informed of his rights, Ledford admitted shooting four windows of the school as he "wanted to play" with his BB gun.

Ledford also said he shot one window and it "spidered," referring to the window cracking. He told police he thought "it was cool," and decided to shoot three more windows before driving away.

Ledford, 19 years old, has been charged with felony criminal mischief, with the dollar amount of damage exceeding $1,500.
