A Ronan man is behind bars following a fatal shooting in the Mission Valley.
Lake County Sheriff Don Bell says deputies responded to a reported accidental shooting on Parizeau Lane in Ronan on Tuesday afternoon.
However, it was determined that Jim E. Lewis, 65, of Ronan, had been shot and killed by James S. Deaton, 78, also from Ronan, according to Sheriff Bell.
The shooting took place indoors and the men live in the same residence.
Deaton was arrested under suspicion of homicide and is currently in the Lake County Jail.
The Lake County Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate the incident.
No further information is being released at this time.
