Detectives with the Big Horn County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Marshals Service have captured the third escapee from last month's jail break in Hardin.

Andrew Parham, 25 years old, was taken into custody at a residence in Crow Agency at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday without incident, according to Sheriff Lawrence "Pete" Big Hair.

On February 8, Parham and fellow inmates Stephen Caplett and Anthony Castro lured a Big Horn County jail detention officer into one of the larger men’s cell blocks by convincing the officer that one of the inmates was sick. Two or three inmates then grabbed the officer and pulled him inside where they assaulted and bound him.

The inmates were able to get a jail key from the officer and proceeded to the Dispatch area where they assaulted a dispatcher, handcuffed her, and placed her on the floor. They forced the dispatcher to show them how to open the garage into the booking area and escaped out the garage door, according to the release.

Assistance was requested from the Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T Team to assist the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office with the escape. Billings Police Department also responded to assist with the efforts to regain control of the Detention Center.

Caplett and Castro were arrested a few days later in Billings.
