KALISPELL – Authorities are releasing more information about a weekend fatal stabbing in Kalispell.

Kalispell police report that the two men involved in the incident were dating and living together.

Ryan Cody Lamb, 34, is being held in the Flathead County jail on a pending deliberate homicide charge for the death of Ryan Edward Nixon, 31.

Police Capt. Doug Overman said deputies found Nixon unresponsive early Sunday morning inside an apartment following a disturbance call off Two Mile Drive. Nixon was pronounced dead at the scene.

Overman said the department has poured all of their resources into the three-day investigation that continues. He could not reveal any motive in the fatal stabbing but says the men were in a domestic partnership.

“Thankfully a homicide is not something that we deal with extremely frequently in the city of Kalispell. When we do have one we are going to put every available resource into telling the story and ensuring that we do everything we can to provide for due process, the rights of the accused and justice for the victim,” Overman said.
