Police investigating reported Missoula assault

MISSOULA – Missoula Police have told KPAX more details about an assault that occurred near the Madison Street bridge early Monday morning.

A woman reported being assaulted on the south side of the Madison Street bridge at around 4:30 a.m. Monday.

She told police that an unknown man attempted to assault her under the bridge and she was able to fight him off.

MPD say the motives are unknown at the time and the assailant does not appear to have made any demands during the assault.

Police will continue to investigate the incident and no arrests have been made up to this point.

MISSOULA – Police in Missoula are investigating a report of a recent assault that was reported near the University of Montana campus.

Missoula Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Travis Welsh told MTN News that the assault happened on the Madison Street Bridge on Sunday night.
