GREAT FALLS – Kyle Normal Heupel has been charged in Great Falls after he allegedly threatened to kill two people.
Court documents state that on Tuesday, a man saw a car pull into his driveway on 17th Avenue South; the resident opened his front door and saw Heupel, and asked Heupel what he was doing.
Heupel then reportedly grabbed a hunting rifle from his car and began walking toward the residence. The man shut the front door and ran to the back bedroom where his wife was.
The charging documents state that Heupel then went into the house and approached the bedroom and yelled “I am going to kill you both,” and then began trying to open the bedroom door, which eventually broke open. Heupel then pointed the rifle at the man and woman.
The man then hit Heupel in the face and wrestled the rifle away from him, and Heupel then ran away.
Heupel was found by police a short time later on the 100 block of 10th Street North, and admitted that he had done what the man reported to police, according to court documents.
Heupel has a deferred conviction for assault against the same man, and also misdemeanor convictions for theft and resisting arrest.
Prosecutors requested that bond for Heupel be set at $75,
