HELENA – A 38 year-old Helena woman is accused of raping an underage girl.
Reene Marie Mills appeared via video in Lewis and Clark Justice Court Tuesday on one count of sexual intercourse without consent and one count of sexual assault, both felonies.
According to court documents, investigators were alerted to an alleged sexual assault by a counselor who interviewed the girl.
Authorities say during a forensic interview, the girl described two incidents where Mills reportedly raped or sexually assaulted her in early 2014.
Mills has previously been investigated for sexual abuse.
In 2016 she was also charged with sexual intercourse without consent.
Mills’ bond was set at $50,000 and was ordered to have no contact with the victim.
