HELENA — Broadwater Co. Disaster and Emergency Services says a wildfire is burning east of Highway 284.
According to a Facebook post the fire is three to four miles east of the highway on private land in the Confederate Gulch area.
Firefighters from Townsend, Toston, Duck Creek, and Radersburg have responded to the blaze.
Broadwater DES says fire crews were mopping up the fire as of 6:00 p.m. A deputy has been assigned to the fire area and no structures are threatened.
There is no estimate on how many acres burned.
