HELENA — Firefighters are working to contain a small fire that has started in the Helena Ranger District.
The Minnehaha Fire is burning southwest of Helena near Bullion Parks.
Helena Ranger District fire staff, the DNRC and fire contractors are currently working the fire.
Forest Service officials say smoke may be visible throughout the day and that people should avoid the area while crews work to put out the fire.
The Forest Service is investigating how the fire started.
