Teachers, faculty, and staff of Great Falls Public Schools stood outside in several places in Great Falls on Thursday afternoon to thank the community for its support.

Last week, voters approved a $1.75 operational levy for GFPS; the vote was 10,795 for the levy, and 8,893 opposed. The property tax increase is estimated at $16.27 per $100,000 of value.

The GFPS employees gathered along the 1st Avenue North (Central Avenue) bridge, at the intersection of Fox Farm Drive and 10th Avenue South (Country Club Road), and along 10th Avenue South at 26th Street.

Many of them held signs thanking the community and were greeted with honks and cheers from many people driving by.
