Great Falls school teachers are using Halloween to get some face-to-face interaction with their remote learning students.

The school district held a reverse parade Friday at Roosevelt Elementary School.

Teachers dressed up in costumes and handed out treats and some educational activities to students as the students drove by. Many of the students were also dressed up.

First-grade teacher Tammy Good said students were happy to see them as well and the costumes made for good conversation.

"We've seen them on Zoom meetings, we've talked with them on the phone, but there's something very special about seeing someone face-to-face,” Good said. "You know, we just felt the need to connect with kids, for their sake as well. They're doing the best they can working remotely, but we're all feeling a little lonely.”

She also said she there may be another parade later this year.
