Great Falls Public Schools closed Monday due to police investigation

UPDATE: 8:22 A.M.: Great Falls Police have asked residents to stop calling dispatch for information related to Monday's school closures.

GFPD says the dispatch center should be used for "legitimate medical, fire, and police issues and emergencies."

They also confirmed that additional schools have closed. Those schools include:

  • Five Falls Christian
  • Our Lady of Lourdes
  • Central Catholic
  • University of Providence

In an email to MTN, Foothills Community Christian School also said it would be closed Monday. The school says it is its policy to follow the lead of Great Falls Public Schools in weather and safety related delays and closures.


GREAT FALLS-Great Falls Police announced on social media Monday morning that all Great Falls Public Schools would be closed Monday.

Police did not detail exactly why the schools would be closed, only saying that it was due to an "ongoing police investigation."

The public should expect to see police present at schools throughout the day.
