The polls closed at 8:00 p.m. for the Helena Municipal Primary Election and the School Bond Election, with around 60% of eligible voters casting their votes according to election officials.
Below are the unofficial results as reported by the Lewis and Clark County Elections Office. The Helena mayoral race and city commission race are nonpartisan.
HELENA HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 1 BOND
- YES — 11,147 votes (50.82%)
- NO — 10,786 votes (49.18%)
HELENA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 1 BOND
- YES — 10,630 votes (50.91%)
- NO — 10,248 votes (49.09%)
HELENA MAYOR PRIMARY (TWO CANDIDATES MOVE ON)
- EMILY K. DEAN — 4,133 votes (36.53%)
- SONDA GAUB — 969 votes (8.57%)
- BRAXTON HUDSON — 328 votes (2.9%)
- CHRIS RICCARDO — 347 votes (3.07%)
- ANDY SHIRTLIFF — 5,468 votes (48.33%)
HELENA COMMISSION PRIMARY (FOUR CANDIDATES MOVE ON)
- BRENTON CRAGGS — 1,185 votes (7.10%)
- HALEY MCKNIGHT — 3,702 votes (22.18%)
- MELINDA REED (I) — 5,939 votes (35.58%)
- BEN RIGBY — 3,898 votes (23.35%)
- SHAWN WHITE WOLF — 1,827 votes (10.95%)
