HELENA — Helena-area children will have access to supplemental food each weekend thanks to the support of Helena businesses participating in Helena Food Share’s 11th Annual Kid Pack Challenge.

Food share says they need just over $200,000 to purchase enough supplemental food for kids in need throughout the school year.

On November 12th, 2020, First Interstate Bank in Helena accepted the challenge and raised $32,000 in the Kid Pack challenge.

First Interstate Bank says they understand the added need in the Helena-area due to the pandemic.

“Obviously, times like this, during the pandemic, there's so many people in need to simply just find out where their next meal is,” says Guy Almquist, President of First Interstate Bank in the Helena-area. “And for us to be able to help those people and just do some foundation work in this community, it's very satisfying.”

Helena Food Share is still accepting applications should other businesses like to participate in the Kid Pack Challenge.
