Better Body Fitness says they are also suffering from supply chain issues during the pandemic.

Manufacturers of fitness equipment are telling Better Body Fitness that they were hit hard by the pandemic. Some had to close operations, which means Better Body Fitness has a backlog on orders that might not be fulfilled until late August or September 2020. Between their Helena and Missoula location, they have a waiting list of about 60 people waiting for equipment to arrive, as of June 19th, 2020.

Better Body Fitness still has a strong inventory in cardio machines but say it is the free weights and strength equipment that has seen the backlog.

Better Body Fitness recommends talking with your fitness equipment retailer now in case a second wave of the pandemic hits, possibly making the waiting list longer.

“Don't wait until the second wave is already in full effect, be a little bit proactive,” says Dillon Ewals, Better Body Fitness Retail Operations Director. “Yeah it's gorgeous outside right now, but winter is just right around the corner. Try to plan ahead, try to plan early. That way you can make sure you've got the equipment that you need when the time comes."

For a while, Better Body Fitness was losing an average of $2,000 a day because of the supply chain issue.
