HELENA — The City of Helena has suspended the East Valley Transit Route Starting Wednesday, April 1 until further notice due to COVID-19 concerns.

Both the blue route (Glendale Street to Walmart) and the red route (Target to St. Peter's Hospital) were suspended starting March 16, 2020, until further notice.

Capital Transit’s ADA Complementary Paratransit Service will continue to operate, but is subject to change at a later point.

Capital Transit Supervisor Elroy Goleman told MTN previously, they would do their best to keep the ADA service operational as long as possible.

Staff are regularly disinfecting commonly touched areas, but recognize bus is a group share ride service. Goleman asks that people who are sick contact their medical provider and avoid using the ADA bus to help limit that spread of any infection to others that rely on the service.

Paratransit Service operates weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Riders must have an approved application for service, and the service is not an emergency medical transport.
