HELENA — The City of Helena has hired former Commissioner Ed Noonan as the interim Civic Center manager.
Noonan will oversee the Civic Center operations while the city explores future management opportunities.
Last November, city leaders began exploring interest in other management opportunities.
Half a dozen groups submitted letters of interest ranging from facility operations to naming rights and sponsorship.
The city is also looking for members to serve on a steering committee to help build a new Civic Center Advisory body.
The city dissolved the previous advisory board in December. following several months of disputes between the City Commission and Advisory Board.
