HELENA — Entrepreneurship was on display in the Capitol City Thursday night—at the “Accelerated Startups Demo Night”.

At the Lewis and Clark county Fairgrounds, Helena showcased their best and brightest for the “Accelerated Startups Demo Night”, hosted by

The Montana Business Assistance Connection (MBAC) Accelerated Startups program was created in 2018 to help new and young businesses thrive.

The model is goal-driven, focusing on accountability, resources, education, and support to make startup ideas and growth a reality. The program builds to the Demo Night, when participants have the opportunity to introduce their business to the community and potential investors.

One of those entrepreneurs is Montana native Leann Colella, the founder and managing operator for her own business.

Colella told MTN her online startup “Sharp Spruce” is the basis to any man’s wardrobe and explained how the night impacted her future in a big way.

“This is a really big opportunity for me to pitch my products and my brand, to a whole bunch of people that I don't know, which is such a big deal. And getting out there and finding your customers is really hard and all of the Helena citizens that came out to support us, this means the world to everybody--and we are right before the holidays, so shop small, support your community! Because when you buy from a small business, it's our whole life, it's whole passion.”

All demo night attendees have access to start up resources from funding sources, website development, HR Services, accounting and more.
