Most Downtown Helena Fall events canceled

HELENA — Downtown Helena, Inc (DHI) has decided to cancel all fall events besides Parade of Lights.

This includes:
· The Fall Festival originally scheduled for this Tuesday through Friday
· The Kids' Fall Fest Pumpkin Patch scheduled for this Saturday, October 24th
· Little Tykes Trick or Treat on October 31
· The Fall Art Walk on November 13
· Breakfast with Santa on November 28

This decision was made based on current regulations and changes involving the spread of COVID-19. DHI is looking forward to the time when we can all gather together as a community to support downtown businesses, but now just isn't the time to do so. DHI still encourages you to shop downtown and support local businesses, especially as we enter an uncertain holiday season.

The Parade of Lights will still occur on Friday, November 27th in a different iteration. Instead of bringing the parade to the people, DHI is going to have the people go to the parade.

DHI is working closely with the city and police department to convert Cruse Ave to a one-way street, with people entering from Park Ave and exiting from Broadway. The floats and displays will be set up for people to look at as they drive by with a lit fire tower in the background from 6-7:30 pm.

DHI also partnered with Helena Toys for Tots and Helena Food Share to support those in need during the holiday season. To learn more, visit https://downtownhelena.com/dhi_event/parade-of-lights/ [r20.rs6.net].
