According to a those involved in a new program for teens and young adults, nearly a third of adolescent Montanans report feeling sad or hopeless.

Charlie Health launched on Thursday.

It’s a virtual intensive outpatient program or IOP.

It’s the first IOP program in Montana and the first virtual program in the country.

The programs could include group therapy individual therapy, family therapy and psychiatric support.

"To complement the group setting, we also do individual and family psychiatric support," said Laura Sebulsky, Charlie Health director of clinical outreach and admissions. "Because what Charlie Health is really passionate about is identifying root cause and environmental cause. The kids are more engaged because they're comfortable. They're at home. They can be on their couch, in their bedroom. They can have their dog with them. so we're seeing really wonderful outcomes."

Sebulsky suggests calling Charlie Health and therapists will help to determine if this program or another one will be the best.
