A man has started an alliance in the Flathead to create an educational safe space for those in the LGBTQ community.

When Bryan Bebb and his husband moved to the Flathead Valley they felt as though something was missing -- there were no LGBTQ friendly groups in the Flathead area.

So, Bebb started the Glacier Queer Alliance , focusing on providing a positive, safe space with community resources for all gender identities and sexual orientations.

The group hosts frequent meet ups and events promoting and educating the LGBTQ community.

“In the Flathead there’s not really any queer bars or any queer coffee shops specifically -- although several businesses are very supportive and encourage folks to go there to feel safe. But it’s just kind of a happy hour event,” explained Bebb.

Bebb says Glacier Queer Alliance looks towards partnering with a Flathead youth LGBTQ organization to expand both their networks.
